“A Model School: Healdsburg College
1882-1908”

April 2018

Established in 1882, Healdsburg College was the second school of higher education in the Adventist system. It was also the predecessor to Pacific Union College, which moved to Angwin in 1909. During the 26 years the college was in Sonoma County, the Adventist students, professors, and staff made a huge impact on their community. They began many traditions of education and service that continue to this day.

The Walter Utt Center for Adventist History is proud to present this exhibit about Healdsburg College, which features photographs, documents, and items from the PUC Archives & Special Collections. A scale model of the Healdsburg College School building by local artist and architect Jon Lacaillade is the centerpiece of the exhibit.
